Fall 2025 conferences are scheduled for Oct. 16, 2025, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. and Oct. 20, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4:30 to 8 p.m.
- Conferences are not required but all families are invited to sign up for one.
- Please note that due to the number of students Mr. Cook teaches, conferences are limited to 10 minutes. 5 minutes is allowed between conferences for transition time and is not part of conference time.
- Each student is permitted one conference slot. If Mr. Cook teaches your student for both math and Project Arrow, both subjects will be discussed in a single conference. If you have more than one student in Mr. Cook’s class(es), you may book two separate times (note you will need to return to this page and repeat the process for other students).
- Conferences are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- If possible, please do not reserve an evening appointment if you are available during the day so that those who are unable to take off work can still meet with Mr. Cook.
- Please also consider that Oct. 20 falls at a time when many families are observing the Diwali holiday. If you or your family do not have plans for Diwali, you are encouraged to book on Oct. 20 so that those families who do observe can avoid conflicts by scheduling on the earlier date. This may be especially important because there are significantly fewer spots available on that date.
Conferences location
Unless otherwise arranged, all conferences are in-person in Room 142 at Cowlishaw Elementary School.
Remote conferences
If you will be out of town or prefer a remote conference, please be sure you have a valid Google account that can access Google Meet and email Mr. Cook separately to inform him of your preference. You will receive the Google Meet link later.
Please be signed in five minutes prior to your conference start time. You should be in a quiet space and, if possible, avoid connecting via cellular signal. Having others in the household avoid using streaming and other services that use significant bandwidth may also help improve your experience.
Please keep in mind that it may be possible for others to overhear both sides of the conversation, so consider that when selecting where you will join from. While Mr. Cook will be in a space that allows confidentiality, families are responsible for taking any measures they wish to ensure the conversation is not overheard.
Mr. Cook will join you on Google Meet at the time your conference is set to begin. If you are not signed in to Google Meet or there are technical issues connecting, Mr. Cook will call the phone number you provide once to speak via phone instead and the conference will be conducted that way.
No conferences will be conducted via Google Meet or phone if you are in a moving vehicle.
Please be sure you will have access to the number you enter here if you request a remote conference. The call will come from (630) 428-6100. If no connection is made via phone or Google Meet, the conference will need to be canceled.
